How to use DicomBurn

1. Run DicomBurn installer in your PACS workstation PC or any office PC. The installer will setup a Dicom Server in your PC.
2. Open DicomBurn & select CD/DVD in 'target' dropdown, switch to CD/DVD burning option at the right side option panel. Select your CD/DVD drive name on the list of available drives.
3. Choose a DICOM viewer from Viewers dropdown at the bottom.

DicomBurn server port should be open in Firewall/Anti-virus

1. 1. Collect the DicomBurn Dicom server IP and Port available on the white log area at the UI bottom & send studies from your PACS/MWL Server/Imaging Systems.
   2. Or, click 'Browse files' button, and select Dicom files to Burn.
2. When Dicom files are made available, watch the DicomBurn screen for the incoming studies.
3. 1. If studies were sourced using option (A) above, keep watching the DicomBurn screen as the CD Burner works.
   2. If studies were sourced using option (B) above, uncheck the AutoBurn checkbox, drag-in studies from top to bottom grid and click 'Burn Now' button.
4. The newly burned CD will eject from the drive, you can insert it in another PC and the burned viewer will popup loading the studies. The burned studies will be removed from DicomBurn screen.

2. Please make sure your Primera/Epson Printer works without DicomBurn. Open DicomBurn & select Primera/Epson CD/DVD in 'target' dropdown, switch to Primera burning option at the right side option panel. If you have a Primera Printer attached to the PC, the details will be shown at the Primera panel. For Epson open the Epson Total Disc Monitor.
3. Choose a DICOM viewer from Viewers dropdown at the bottom.

   2. If studies were sourced using option (B) above, uncheck the AutoBurn checkbox, drag-in studies from top to bottom grid and click 'Burn Now' button.
4. The newly burned CD will ejected by the Primera CD robot, you can insert it in another PC and the burned viewer will popup loading the studies. The burned studies will be removed from DicomBurn screen.
5. To customize the CD layout design, Go to the installation directory, and at C:\PTBurnJobs. Look for a file called cdlabel.std/cdlabel.tdd, you can edit it with the SureThings CD designer/Total Disc Publisher software comes with Primera/Epson installation discs, Or may ask us for a design change. The DICOM fields for printing can also be rearranged.

2. Open DicomBurn & select USB in 'target' dropdown, switch to USB burning option at the right side option panel. Insert a USB memory stick or a USB HDD, the USB name will show on DicomBurn screen, select that name.
3. Choose a DICOM viewer from Viewers dropdown at the bottom.

3. 1. If studies were sourced using option (A) above, keep watching the DicomBurn screen as DicomBurn copies the files.
   2. If studies were sourced using option (B) above, uncheck the AutoBurn checkbox, drag-in studies from top to bottom grid and click 'Burn Now' button.
4. You will see a 'Safe to eject' notification, and the newly burned USB will be removed from the system, you can then take out the USB safely. The burned studies will be removed on screen.
5. You can use imprinted USB sticks, that can be given out to the patients bearing your facility name & logo.
