DicomBurn USB Burner application burns DICOM studies to USB drives such as memory sticks, dongles, external HDDs. The process is simple as select all imaging studies and dicom-send to a USB drive as an easy backup for offices with no backup and low tech skills. Similarly a USB pen drive could be used for quick random backups, or hand out study images to radiologists, referrals or in an outpatient facility. Imprinted DICOM USB sticks having Imaging facility name, logo, Image acquisition details can be distributed to patients.
Automated DICOM USB Burner
DicomBurn's built-in DICOM server accepts studies sent from PACS systems, Imaging modality and any other local/remote DICOM network. DicomBurn instantaneously moves the received studies into the chosen USB drive along with a DicomDirectory, and also a DICOM viewer if previously selected. The entire process is automated, so there is no manual intervention required after the studies are sent for burning.
Auto Import DICOM files from a DICOM DropBox
A predefined DropBox folder can be located at a local or networked location. DicomBurn shall monitor the folder for new DICOM archives. If found, DicomBurn shall auto import, and burn the studies to DICOM USBs.
DicomBurn Smart USB drive Detection
DicomBurn USB Burner automatically detects USB drives on arrival, USB drives show up automatically on DicomBurn screen as inserted. Users could choose which USB port should be used by the DicomBurn. The user interface has been overhauled for busy facilities having day-to-day operation.
DicomBurn Smart USB drive Ejection
To avoid faulting a USB port from random insertion and ejection, DicomBurn USB Burner notifies user to remove the USB device after a burning job is completed.
